Students arrive on Wednesday afternoon, after 4pm, in time for dinner at 7pm. During the first evening Steve will chat to you about the course and what you hope to achieve.
Multi-Media Workshop/Art Courses
at Little HenCefn
with Steve Humble
The workshop type course will look to extend and develop students’ working style and techniques. The week will be primarily studio-based, allowing for an extended period of studio practice, using a variety of subject matter as a starting point.
A combination of exercises, augmented by individual and group tutorials, will push each student to explore their own responses to their choices of subject matter and media.
Students are free to work in any medium, or combination of media, to suit their preference.
Artists of all abilities, including beginners, are welcome and will be given plenty of one-to-one tuition throughout the week.
Opportunities will be given for relaxation and to take time out, for those who wish to work at a more leisurely pace, or who would like to explore the local area further.
There are kitchen facilities in the studio for lunches/drinks.
On the last evening, there is an exhibition of work achieved and a barbeque which is always a very informal and relaxed way to conclude the course.
You depart from Little HenCefn on Wednesday morning, after breakfast.
After booking a place on the course, a list of materials will be sent out to each student. Work tables and chairs are available in the studio, but please bring an easel if you prefer.
